Something New

Something new has been added to my blog and my belly:) Is it weird to see a fetus bouncing around in there? I don't know, I just wanted some sort of a counter and this is what I found.

As of Late

So I have once again fallen behind on my blah blah blog. Don't worry I still stalk, I just haven't had the time to post. Let's see, how about some Highlights and Lowlights:)

Highlight: I've been doing a better job at keeping the house together.

Lowlight: I have more time to keep the house together since Eli has once again gotten kicked out of the gym for biting.

Highlight: Jack bore his testimony at church...all by himself. I offered to go up with him but I was denied. He LOVES a stage and a microphone. In fact, he wants to be either a stand-up comedian or a pilot when he grows up. I'm ok with that...just keep it clean Jack! I don't like a messy plane. ha! Maybe I should be a comedian. Back to the testimony, it was so sweet and adorable, brought a warmth to my heart and a tear to my eye. I must admit I was nervous about sending him up there all alone...what is he going to say??? Well, he shared that He loved his family, He knew that the church was true, He loved reading scriptures in Mommy and Daddy's bed (I think he has sat on our bed looking at the maps in the back of the scriptures) and he then closed properly. Makes it all worth it.

Lowlight: Eli bit a kid in the nursery so I am going to be with him for the next month...its better than him being kicked out.

Highlight: I've been painting the trim in our house white during Eli's naps! We have had white doors with cream trim for a year...it's almost done!

Lowlight: Eli escaped from the movie theater to the parking lot in less than thirty seconds the other day. I think with his swiftness and biting capabilities...we may have a vampire on our hands...he has pretty fair skin too. Something to think about.

Highlight: I feel challenged almost everyday in some form with the boys...yet I still desire to have another baby!:) Even though Eli is mostly responsible for my lowlights...he melts me everyday. I can't put it into words. I'm still amazed at how frustrated I can feel and at the same time I could cry thinking about how much joy they bring into my life. I sound like a nut job.

Ok, that's enough for now. Maybe my next post will be all pictures...probably since Clint's family is coming into town!!! MAJOR Highlight....can't wait! ttyl:)

Girl Time! (plus Jack and Eli)

My Mom came into town for a week while Clint went to Vancouver,WA for work. It was soooo nice to have her! We were able to do some fun stuff around the house. We reupholstered our glider...btw I really don't like the look of gliders but they are nice for rocking babies so I thought some new fabric might make me feel better about having it in the living room. I painted a picture...random. I actually like it! There was a picture at Bed Bath and Beyond that my Mom and I thought would look really good on the wall = $80 = too much! So I went to Michael's, materials needed for the replica = $40 = much better(and Clint is happier). So its half the price and half the quality and looks nothing like the one from the store... but its fun that I did it myself = priceless. Mom made me feel like I could do it, I otherwise would have never attempted. And we sort of updated the guest bedroom with some new throw pillows and a new lamp....its waiting for anyone who wants to come visit!!! We also celebrated Mom's Birthday, I think that was Jack's highlight of the trip...its all he could talk about. Mom thanks so much for coming so last minute. I just wish we had more time together...its never enough! I LOVE YOU!!! Enjoy the pictures.

I Love You

Jack makes me laugh...

Me: Hey, Jack?
Jack: What?(pause)You love me.
Me: (laughing) Yea.
Jack: Oh, thanks.
Me: (laughing)

I always say, "Hey, Jack?" before I tell him I love him, to make sure he's listening. I guess he figured me out.

Today for Thanksgiving

Of course I am grateful for the many many blessings in my life but today there is one in particular that I would like to share. Today I am grateful for tylenol, ibuprofen, urgent care, gatorade, and saltine crackers. Clint, Jack, Eli and I are sick:( Clint, fever, chills, body aches congestion. J and E, nasty colds. Me, some sort of stomach virus and body aches. However I am grateful that we have medicine to ease the pain. I should also mention the drug Promethazine...I no longer feel like I'm going to pass out or throw up every time I stand on my feet...thank you Heavenly Father for enlightening our brains with the discovery of modern medicine. Seriously.

Family Visits and Halloween

Better late than never. We were sooo excited to have family in town during Halloween...it just worked out that way and it was so much fun! Mom and Bill came for a week and Eddie and his family came for four days. The kids had a great time together. Events included...LA Science Center, Trunk or Treat, Trick or Treating, lots of candy, Jack burnt his lip on my triple barrel hair thing, Bill helped us with house stuff, we exchanged Christmas gifts (since we won't see them at Christmas and it was cheaper for mom to bring everything rather than ship it)...enjoy the pictures! *Also, before Bill came out we knew he was facing kidney cancer/polycystic disease. Well just yesterday he had the kidney removed that had the tumor. The surgery went well and we are praying for a speedy recovery. He will still have to deal with the polycystic disease which he was diagnosed with when a number of cysts were found in both kidneys but it hasn't effected his kidney function yet...and the doctors don't think it will for a very long time. We are VERY BLESSED that they even found the cancer and disease...he didn't have ANY symptoms, the doctor just thought he should have a chest xray done while he was having his regular physical, through that xray and the inspiration of other doctors all of this was discovered. We are grateful!
